Days 10 & 11 - 1 & 2 March
Visiting Malc and Bron for 2 nights.
Another lovely morning!
We left straight after (yet another lovely) breakfast to avoid the on-the-hour traffic light roadworks along Queen Charlotte Drive and drove to Blenheim where we had some shopping to do before our trip onwards to Lake Rotoiti.
Autumn has almost arrived in Blenheim.
Managed to leave Blenheim on the incorrect road and drove 30 kms before realising our error (although I had been suspecting a problem for a while …).
Did an about-turn and finally arrived about an hour later than planned at St Arnaud on Lake Rotoiti: a beautiful drive.
After lunch we did a lakeside walk, (the Brunner Peninsula Nature Walk), followed by gin & tonics for the girls (beers for the boys), discussed the trials and tribulations in the world today, then a quick detour via the lake for a pikky before dinner!
